Sometimes aesthetic things find you in unexpected places. Do you also feel like you suddenly teleported into one of Hitchcock’s movies? Everything came perfectly together in this shot - the bypassing person with her face away, the lonely glass of bier (back from the days when I could still have one) and the neon lights of the red light district…

After arguing with a rich Qatari guy who was very surprised at the fact that women can speak back in Europe (:D) I desperately needed some calming activity, and walking in this scenery felt just perfect

Once one of the biggest merchant capitals in the entire world, now the city suffers from overtourism and identity crisis. While walking in the narrow streets, you notice how most of the windows are nailed down and how the paint goes down the wall. It felt like a ghost town. And the two things that made me feel like it’s alive was the sea slowly caressing the pier, and the pasta I had around the corner from the sweetest italian grandpa…

After beautifully falling off the bike couple of times and almost crashing into a few people, I would stop here and enjoy the absolute beauty of a city this is. It is not perfect but it still is one of my most favourite places on Earth, and definitely a place that will forever hold a piece of my heart and endless bottom of memories. <3
